QUESTION: "AREN'T ALL BUYBACK VEHICLES DEFECTIVE?"Not really. While these vehicles have been repurchased by Ford to correct an issue, it does not always include major repairs. Some reasons a vehicle is repurchased include the following: parts unavailable to fix a minor issue in a timely manner, a gesture of goodwill to maintain a valued relationship with a loyal customer, legitimate issue that needs extra attention by Ford engineers to repair and it is unable to be done in the field, and some states laws contain easily manipulated loopholes to allow customers to fabricate problems to get out of a vehicle they no longer like. Regardless of the reason, the vehicles come to you inspected and repaired by Ford, as is required of them by law, as well as inspected by our service department, so you can buy these vehicles with confidence! Finally, we would not risk our reputation in our community with vehicles we thought were going to be issues to our customers!
QUESTION: "WHAT IF THE PROBLEM ISN'T FIXED? I DON'T WANT TO BUY SOMEONE ELSE'S PROBLEM."We can not agree with you more! That's why Ford honors the vehicles original warranty if the vehicle was repaired under that period, and if not, gives you another 12 months or 12,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty if the original warranty is expired at your time of purchase. The last thing Ford, or us quite frankly wants is for you to have issues with these vehicles, but you can rest easy knowing you have Ford factory warranty coverage and Farm Country Ford to help you if something arises. Remember, most of the issues repaired are issues that are minor, easily repaired or sometimes just customers trying to get out of an unwanted vehicle! It is a certainty that all pre-owned vehicles have had repairs done to them, some more extensive than these RAV's. Frankly, we treat these vehicles just like non-RAV's. If we thought they had hidden, or un-repaired issues, we would not purchase them from Ford sponsored sales and put them on our lot for sale. Our reputation means more to us than that.
